Currently in Australia. Topped up 10 credit on payg 2 days ago. No coverage on my phone. Worked as far as Dubai. No network coverage offered either when selecting manual or automatic selection on mob. Spoke to Welsh Cust Services lady 'Casey' I think,who promised to call me back, as I had been on friend's phone for 20 mins. Still no call 2 days later. Please advise before I take this onto social media to get some positive action. I am unable to call home to UK to let family know that I am ok. Thanks.

You sure you have credit left, having used some in Dubai?

As your phone worked in Dubai, your phone is definitely set up for roaming.
Please try the troubleshooting steps below:-
Try re-booting your device
Try turning 4G off in ‘settings’
Perform a manual network search:-
Do any mobile networks come up when you do the manual network search?
