Currently abroad no network access to 3 available local networks.

Cannot receive or make calls while abroad. Phone shows no signal but can identify 3 available local networks. When I try to chose network it says No network access I'm on Orange pay as you go

Re: Currently abroad no network access to 3 available local networks.

Which country are you in?

Do you have roaming enabled on your account?

Do you have credit?

Hi @film727 and welcome to the community.

Please can I get you to change your network settings to 2g/4g only to see if that helps.

Many thanks,

Lee

account, isn't roaming enabled by default? I had used this sim and mobile abroad before

Re: Currently abroad no network access to 3 available local networks.

Hi @film727

Roaming is indeed active for pay as you go as default.

Are you aware if anyone else you are with is experiencing an issue?

Many thanks,

Lee

Re: Currently abroad no network access to 3 available local networks.

I have another phone with me, it's on 3 network and is roaming fine. Orange PAYG is able to detect 3 local networks but then shows no network access if I try to select one.

I have some credit on Orange but I last topped up a long time ago - is this an issue? Is there a customer number I can call without paying £1.50 a minute (Bosnia outside EU)?

Re: Currently abroad no network access to 3 available local networks.

Hello there @film727

Thanks for coming back to us.

When was the last time you used the Orange SIM?

Have you sent a text, used data or made a call recently?

Thanks, Leanne.

Re: Currently abroad no network access to 3 available local networks.

Orange Sim is in regular use in UK, so last use was last week.

Re: Currently abroad no network access to 3 available local networks.

Old Nokia 6303. It shows no signal bars wherever I take it, but when I select manual network search it finds 3 available networks. If I try to connect to any of those I get No network access message.

Re: Currently abroad no network access to 3 available local networks.

Thanks @film727

Are you able to try the SIM in another phone at all?

This is strange as all available networks should work fine for you.

Re: Currently abroad no network access to 3 available local networks.

I'm now in Croatia (EU member) and Orange SIM is roaming fine. Can it be that PAYG Orange SIM is not available for roaming in Bosnia?

Re: Currently abroad no network access to 3 available local networks.

Sorry to butt in on this discussion, but I'm in the same predicament in Bangkok and can't for the life of me figure out a way to get in touch with Orange/EE.

My phone is Samsung Galaxy S5 with Orange PAYG which is used in UK regularly and has also been used many times in Bangkok on previous visits. It was topped up with £50 last week in preparation for this visit.

When I arrived yesterday morning my phone failed to register with a local network. In the past it has usually done this within 5 minutes of switching on. I can see about 10 available networks, and have tried to register manually and auromatically, but to no avail. Yesterday after about 3 hours I did get a welcome text from Orange setting out roaming costs, but my phone is still unable to register with the local networks.

How can I fix this please?
