It may be that I’m blocked from EE. I asked a couple of weeks ago to be restricted from making international calls within the U.K. as my child had accidentally made calls on my mobile. I don’t know if this has affected my settings. I can’t call EE though to check as it won’t let me call using WiFi

You can check your roaming status by logging into your My EE account online and go to Menu > Manage Device > Roaming Abroad > This will show as ticked if roaming is activated.
If you need any further support and you're a personal pay monthly customer log into your My EE on your phone's browser (not the app) or a computer.
Once you're logged in, a chat window will pop up when an advisor is available.
