@AndyHorrigan : If you are on contract, did you activate roaming on your EE a/c before you left UK by texting ROAMING to 150?
Often just rebooting the phone is the simple remedy. Otherwise try logging into your MyEE account online & go to Menu / Manage Device / Roaming Abroad and also Call Abroad and Premium rate. They will show as ticked if roaming and calling abroad is activated. If they are not ticked, can you activate these settings?
PAYG is auto enabled for roaming. You don't need to & can't do any of the above.

No, I wasn’t told I had to activate it and received a message saying that everything was set up as soon as I left the UK. The settings menu you specified isn’t available in the the app. I desperately need to make a call to the UK, can you help please?

You should be able to see those settings in your online MyEE.

Thanks. I’ve finally found it, but it was buried a lot deeper than the pathway you supplied. I’ve activated the setting but it says may take 24 hours to apply, so I’ll need to use a pay phone to make my call. Hopefully this will work by tomorrow.
