It is the 3rd time I have travelled abroad and tried to make calls but have been unable to do so. I have roaming turned on, and I am able to use the 4G without issue. When I dial a number, using either the default number with dial assist, or prefixing it with 0044 and losing the first 0, it says I am “unauthorised to dial this number”. I checked with customer service before I travelled to see if there were any obvious reasons why I might be unable to make calls, but they couldn’t find anything. I am in Slovakia until Monday night and would like to be able to make calls while I’m here. Any help will be greatly appreciated. Thanks

Hi @Leedsexile and welcome to the community.
So I can try and help, please may I get you to perform a manual network search and choose a network other than what you are on.
iPhone: Go to Settings > Carrier and turn off Automatic. Wait until available networks appear, which might take two minutes. Tap the carrier that you want.
Android: Open the Settings menu >Tap More > Mobile Networks > Carrier and turn off Automatic. Wait until available networks appear, which might take two minutes. Tap the carrier that you want
Please, also can I get you to try and dial a friend or family member using the format of 00447********* and try using data.
Did this work?

The Carrier selected automatically was Orange SK. I manually selected Telekom SK, but unfortunately had the same results saying was “not allowed to dial the number”

Our customer services team will be able to set it up for you.
I recommend logging into your My EE account on your phone's browser (not the app) or a computer. Once you're logged in, a chat window will pop up when an advisor is available.
If you can't get in contact with chat, please get in touch from an alternative phone.
Enjoy the rest of your trip 🙂
