Abroad longer than planned

Coronavirus-related query:
By the time I return to the UK I will have been away for more than two months. Am I able to (or do I need to) inform EE of this situation, i.e. am I in violation of its fair use policy? This concerns mainly the telephony side of my package (in terms of data, I have a acquired a 4G hotspot "mi-fi" device with a SIM card issued by a provider in the local country, through which I route all my data usage so I use almost nothing of my included data).

Re: Abroad longer than planned

When EE notices you've been too long away from UK they will text you asking for an explanation. As long as you satisfy them they will allow you to continue.

Re: Abroad longer than planned

Many thanks. So just to be clear, "fair use" covers telephony as well as data while abroad?

Hi @Wilhelm

This includes calls, texts, and data usage abroad.

I hope this helps,

Katie 🙂
