It isn't a requirement for you to do so but I would do it just to make sure everything is up & running before you port your number.

@ticola60 Yes it would help. It’s also best to call customer services and give your PAC to them. If you give this today it will not be ported till tomorrow at the earliest. If it’s not don’t by tomorrow it’ll not be ported till Monday as ports do not happen over the weekend.

I filled in the form that I got through EE.com and got an email back saying we will sent you 2 texts
Will these go to new EE number or my original number?!?

I gave EE my pac code through a form how long do you think it will take to transfer number and do I get the text to say it’s done while I am still using my old sim/phone?

@ticola60 normally the next working day you get a text off EE in the morning of the transfer and another text once the port is completed.

@ticola60 These will go to your original number as it’ll be in your new SIM card that’s in your device.

Can I set up EE app on my phone by entering temporary number that came with the SIM card while waiting for my number to transfer?

@ticola60 your account is linked to your email address which is your log in so when the number ports in everything else will stay the same.
