My old number hasn’t been transferred yet but it has stopped working

My old number hasn’t been transferred yet but its not longer working. How long does this process take? It’s from EE to EE . They told me it was done on Monday and that it could take up to 5 days, today is Saturday and my old number on my old phone stopped working yesterday afternoon

Your SIM swap shouldn't have taken any longer than 24 hours.

Are you a pay as you go or pay monthly customer?

 

Did you upgrade direct with EE or another retailer?

I’m a pay monthly contract. I upgraded at an actual shop but not an EE shop. Previously I had a sim only and now I’ve got a phone too.
