Moving your EE number to another network - How to request a PAC code.

If you’d like to move to another network and keep your number, you’re going to need a PAC code.


A PAC code, or Port Authorisation Code, will allow you to move your existing mobile number to any other UK mobile network.


To get your PAC code, you simply need to get in touch with our Mobile Care team and they'll take care of the rest.


We’d hate to see any members of the community leave, so please let customer services know if there is anything we can do to change your mind.


Once you have given your PAC code to your new provider, they will be able to transfer your number the next working day.


For requests made after 17:30 on a weekday, on a weekend or bank holiday, the request will take an extra working day.

PAC Code Facts


  • Your PAC code is valid for 30 days only


  • We recommend you use your PAC code within 26 days to prevent any delays caused by bank holidays and weekends


  • If you don't use the PAC code, your account will remain open and you'll continue to be charged for services


  • If you decide you don't want to use your PAC code but would still like to cancel your contract, let us know before your PAC code expires



Costs and charges


  • A PAC code is issued free of charge


  • There may be cancellation charges on your final bill if you cancel your contract within your minimum contract term (Early Termination Charge) or a Notice Period Charge related to your notice period
