what happens when my 24 month contract ends

I bought the phone for my son. It expires in two weeks. He doesn't wish to upgrade (he doesn't use it much tbh). Can we just continue as is? Will the Ts & Cs continue until he finally wishes to upgrade?

Yes, it just carries on as is until you cancel it with 30 days notice or upgrade.

It's all in the T&Cs. These mobile contracts are all minimum term, not fixed term,

Depends what you are paying though, it will probably be cheaper to switch to a sim only contract until you are ready to upgrade. It is rarely worth continuing the original contract past its end date as sim only is cheaper. You can get 30 day, 12 or 24 month sim only deals
