upgrading after 18 months of a 24 month contract

i was informed by the ee shop that if i signed up to the 24 month contract that after 18 months i could upgrade my phone for free as 24 months is a long time to go with the same phone but this doesnt seem to be the case anyone else under the same illusion as me

@jasonhynds  EE do not allow upgrades at 18 months for free if your on a 24 month contract.   Your only option is to pay off the remaining term of the current contract.     

 

24 month contracts allow you to upgrade 45 days before the contract minimum term date. And that’s in the contract that you agreed too.

24 months is not along time when you take into account how much phones are these days which need to be paid for.

 

You are on a 24 month contract not 18 which no network does anymore. So you can upgrade from around month 23.
