Wife Died in Jan 2017. Today (2 years on) received debt recovery bill?
My wife had an EE contract but sadly passed away in January 2017 following a battle with breast cancer. I went in-store (Lowestoft) to inform them shortly after and provided her death certificate too - I was assured by staff it had been dealt with and that would be the end of the matter.
Today, approaching two years later, I've received a letter from EE addressed to my late wife saying the remaining balance of her contract (£324.63) has been sold to Lowell Group for recovery. Please advise.
I've made no attempt to contact Lowell Group at this stage, as I'm weary it could be some kind of scam letter, seems I was assured by EE staff all had been sorted, account cancelled, balance written off etc. Thank you.
