Why was I charged £1.50 to upgrade?

I have just upgraded my sim only plan to 30gb/mth but have been charged £1.50 to do so. Why is this? There was no mention of any charge on the upgrade details!

Hi, 

 

What does it say on your bill?

 

There is no specific account access on these forums so you will need to call CS on 150 for more specific information on your account and billing.

To contact EE Customer Services dial 150 From your EE mobile or 07953 966 250 from any other phone.

EE standard opening hours are 8am to 9pm weekday, 8am to 8pm on weekends.

It turned out the £1.50 was for a new SIM card. However as I didn’t need one this was refunded.
