Upgrading to phone from EE Sim only pay monthly 12 Month

Hi I’d like to know how it works when upgrading on EE from a sim only contract to a phone contract.

I understand it’s after 6 months which for me is in 2 weeks and if I am credit checked.

if I was to wait for my contract to end and keep it on a rolling basis can I upgrade to a phone contract anytime or do I have to renew contract and then a Wait Further 6 months?

basically my contract ends in early September but new iPhone is out later that month and am unsure if I can upgrade without a credit check from my sim only to the new phone as my 12 M term would have ended ?

kind regards

Hi @Ware15

Welcome to the EE Community,

Once you pass the initial 6 months you will be able to upgrade at anytime.

Re: Upgrading to phone from EE Sim only pay monthly 12 Month

Has your account been paid on time every month? Building a good relationship this way will help you loads. I also have a SIM ONLY which i can upgrade in May. I was told there would be no credit check as long as the account is in good standing and paid on time each month. But regarding the credit check side of it i would get further clarification from EE.
