Hello guys sorry to bother you I returned a iPhone X and free gift via Royal Mail special on the 28/12/17 using the silver bag provided by ee. They finally messaged today to confirm they have received the equipment and the line will now be closed even though it was actually signed and received by them on 02/01/18. Anyway the account is no longer showing on my online ee account so went onto the chat service to confirm everything was in fact closed and my £200 upfront payment returned the person went onto say no refund has been completed because I now need to wait until the 20/01/18 for my billing cycle?...... I’ve already paid over £70 for line rental for that phone in December because ee bill you instantly so I’m now £270 down and told I need to wait another 2 weeks ? Can someone please advise if that is correct information ? Thank you very much

Was this an upgrade or a new contract?

Then they are correct as you haven' closed the actual account.
You could request it sooner but it'l take around 10 days anyway.

I'm glad that everything has been received back successfully.
Once the account is shown in credit (after your bill date), our customer service team will be able to organise a refund to you.
This means that all debits and credits are accounted for on your monthly bills.
