Problems

I just got an Alcatel U3...The number that it came with (that's on the box etc) EE is saying it's unrecognised and text 150, though when I try to do that, it just says "no SMS connection" and I can't top up either because I can't even seem to text the number to do it...soooo yea, I don't know what to do, it's pretty frustrating....

Re: Problems

Hi @ElectricCafe,

Welcome to the EE Community. 🙂

Have you tried making a call to activate your pay as you go pack?

Thanks

Re: Problems

Well I can't seem to make any calls or texts on it...EE doesn't recognise the number as valid, so I don't know what to do really...

Re: Problems

Hi @ElectricCafe,

Where is your number not being recoginised?

Have you inserted the SIM card into the phone?

Does it show a network signal?

Thanks

Re: Problems

I inserted the sim and it shows the network symbol but when I try to put the number on my account on here it says the number isn't recognised...and any time I've tried to get people to call it, it doesn't work, so I don't really know what's going on with it

Re: Problems

Hi @ElectricCafe,

To activate your SIM card and pack, you just need to make a call, send a text or use mobile data.

Are you able to do any of the above?

Once your number is active, you'll be able to register for My EE.

Hope this helps.

Re: Problems

Hi @ElectricCafe,

Have you inserted the SIM card into the SIM slot with the gold contacts facing down?

Where did you purchase the phone?

Thanks

James
