Part Charges - Overcharged?

Hi,

I understand taking a second contract inlcudes part charges. I also understand part charges apply when porting numbers into EE.

What I need clarification on is how EE use their calculations.

Example One: Tarrif £17.99 inc VAT

22/2/17 to 23/2/17 (2 days) - £1.07 excl VAT
24/2/17 to 12/3/17 (17 days) - £9.10 excl VAT

I was able to calculate from both the above amounts the charge is £0.535p per day.

365 days x 0.535p = 195.275 / 12 = £16.27 per month excl VAT

My tarrif is £14.99 excl VAT per month.

Example Two: Tarrif £14.99 inc VAT

18/2/17 to 23/2/17 (6 days) - £2.68 excl VAT
24/2/17 to 12/3/17 (17 days) - £7.58 excl VAT

I was able to calculate from both the above amounts the charge is £0.446p per day.

365 days x 0.446p = 162.79 / 12 = £13.57 per month excl VAT

My tarrif is £12.49 excl VAT per month

I am sure I am missing something or othwerwise I am being charged incorrectly.

Re: Part Charges - Overcharged?

Hello @akashi sorry to hear you are having problems with pro rats charges. You are best speaking directly to customer service over this who have access to accounts and can check/confirm figures for sure. The numbers to call are 150 from an EE phone or 07953 966 250 from any other. If you are a personal pay monthly customer on an EE plan you can also access Live Chat using one of the ways mentioned in this link. :):
