I have been having messages saying i have requested to change to a different provider but i havent and now my account has been cancelled which I also haven't requested. I spoke to the customer services last week who confirmed that they had resolved the issue. Clearly they haven't and now my phone has been cut off. I depend on my phone for work and now I will be potentially loosing customers!

@Geraint19 You’ll need to call customer services about this as it sounds like your number was chosen by someone in a shop when they took out a contract. You could always call that your number and explain to the other person what’s happened. Your not the first that this has happened to.
