Moving abroad

I'm on a monthly EE contract which has reverted to monthly notice now that the contract term is over. I'm moving to New Zealand for 2 years and want to keep my UK number for when I return. I believe I can "upgrade" to EE Pay As You Go but I'm not sure about the following:

1) Does it involve a new EE SIM ? If so I believe this needs to be activated whilst still in UK

2) If it doesn't involve a new SIM can the "upgrade" be done by the EE contact centre once I'm in NZ or do I have to be on the UK network in order to activate Pay As You Go

Thanks

Re: Moving abroad

Hi @electric1

If you speak to CS on 150 they can arrange this transfer for you. You don't need another SIM unless you ask for one.

You are best sorting this out when you are still in the UK.

You also need to remember to make a chargeable call or text as if not your number will be deactivated. You can find our more about PAYG Hibernation via the link below:

Thanks

Re: Moving abroad

@electric1   You have to sort this while in the UK or you sim will not change to a PAYG, this has to be done while connected to the EE network.
