Loyalty Bonus - not upgrading

Hello,

 

I am a long standing EE customer and currently have 12 month Sim Only contract.  

 

I realise that at the end of the contract it will move to a rolling 30 day agreement on the same tariff but I need to know if my Loyalty Discount will automatically continue if I do not upgrade or cancel the contract.

Any discount will stay on as long you don't upgrade or cancel.

 

If you upgrade it will discontinue unless you negotiate this when upgrading.

Just be aware though that some discounts will actually drop off when your contract term runs out even if you leave that plan rolling on a month by month basis.

Ok  thank you ...... but what about the 'Loyalty Bonus' specifically. It was given because I was about to switch to a cheaper deal with another provider so surely that now forms part of my agreement with EE and should therefore continue for as long as the current contract remains in place - ie no upgrade or termination.

@Steve100   Not necessarily as it was an offer at the time of that contract and that contract expires at the minimum term.

As far as I'm aware the more recent loyalty bonuses are not time limited.

 

If you would like to double check, please get in touch with customer services and they'll check for an expiry date on your account.

I have been told my loyalty bonus ends 5/10/18 and that there is nothing that can be done about this. I have been a loyal EE customer for years and this was why it was applied to my account over 10 years ago and has been transferred everytime I renewed my contract. I found out by accident when I was upgrading yesterday. No prior communication about this. Is there anything I can do?

I have been dealing with the customer retention team who said that neither they or customer service could authorise the continuation of my bonus and that they had no way of escalating the issue.

The best team to speak to about this is our customer service team

 

I know you've already spoken to them, but they will be able to access your account and see the loyalty bonus.
