Re: I want to cancel my direct debit as I was misled.

What a farce, why can’t tech team temporarily make a new sim a clone of yours, so it picks up uk network then transfer it back.

only down side would be ee member would see your text messsges, but that doesn’t matter as they can anyway and the MFI secret service

as for cancelling direct debt contact your bank

Hi AcePaul

Yes, you'd think there was an easier way round it wouldn't you?????

I think it's probably best just to go to the Orange Shop in Spain tomorrow and get a completely different Sim card!  I can't think of anything else.

Thanks

Re: I want to cancel my direct debit as I was misled.

We are in 21st century, if they won’t (rather than can’t) help, just ask for a PAC code, then Tweet Marc Allera telling him where the sun doesn’t shine.

they created this mess, they can sort it, you could contact Ofcom but

it seems they are only interested in pointless things

Re: I want to cancel my direct debit as I was misled.

You cant clone a sim card

You cant have 2 sim cards with the same number. So this wouldn't work.

You cant contact Ofcom at all. They dont deal with individual requests.

I get it @acepaul you're angry they closing orange. But they gave plenty of notice. This was always going to be the case when EE was formed. It just took time.

Re: I want to cancel my direct debit as I was misled.

FFS what I’m saying is tech team know the SIM card serial number that is in Spain for 3 months, write it down, pull the plug on it, activate a new one until network happy, swap serial number over, job done.

or Marc Allera pays for this person to come back to uk early

Can the SIM card be posted to a relative, in uk? but pointless costly exserise

Re: I want to cancel my direct debit as I was misled.

I've still got 2 Sim cards for the same number.  A standard size sim and a nano sim.

I really thought this was going to be straightforward but, unfortunately not.

Maybe I should just go with another provider.

Thanks x

You won't have 2 sims with the same number. The older sim would have been deactivated and now rendered useless.

That is the point do you have a relative or a friend in the UK?

Re: I want to cancel my direct debit as I was misled.

Eh ok posting sim is an option but why when like you just said, older sim can be decacvivated, so tech support could therically fix the issues in minutes.

is there a “community” parcel delivery company that goes uk- spain

give them the phone and sim, few rubbles to turn it on/off in uk

is there an airport nearby, air steward going back/forth to uk !?!?!?

Re: I want to cancel my direct debit as I was misled.

Hi Paul

Thanks for that but I know of no community parcel delivery company or any air stewards to do this for me.

I've let the Customer Resolution Team know what you said about deactivating the sim and then activating again, but I've heard nothing from them yet.

Thanks again for your help. x
