I utilised the annual upgrade, how will EE know the phone I sent them was mine?

In order to use my current phone I had to send back my old phone to ee as part of the annual upgrade scheme. I’ve sent it off in the pack given, but I’m still getting emails notifying me that I need to send my phone back. How will EE be able to identify the phone as mine if the only thing sent in the pack was the phone?

Hi @Ohanlon

Welcome to the community and thanks for upgrading. 😄

The warehouse will scan the barcode on the pre-paid envelope and double check the IMEI (which will be registered to your account).
