I started a pay monthy contract online all set up fine but i did not receive my sim i rang up and they sent another i have this when putting it in my phone it just keeps saying no signal

Once you have put your sim card in ther phone, have you switched the phone off and back on again to see if it works?
You may need to activate the SIM card, which you can do here:
Otherwise you will have to ring EE customer service to get it activated.
