Ending Contract from Abroad

Hi.

I'm currently living abroad and I have forgotten to end my contract before I left the UK. I want to do so and I'm wondering if I can do it from a different country? What number should I call if so? Do I use my EE line? Or is there another way to do so?

Also, if I ever move back to the UK, would it be possible to use the same number to re-contract?

Thank you.

Re: Ending Contract from Abroad

@Jayemm: If you've seen out your min. term you can write to them at:

EE - Customer Services,
6 Camberwell Way,
Sunderland,
Tyne & Wear,
SR3 3XN

Your 30 days notice will start when they receive the letter.

Otherwise you can phone on 07953 966 250 , options 1. 4, 2. 1.

Full details on termination to be found in Cancelling a contract after 14 days

The only way to keep your no. is to transfer it to PAYG.

Re: Ending Contract from Abroad

Hi @Jayemm and welcome to the community.

Please do follow the wonderful advice given by @XRaySpeX on this matter.

Do bear in mind that customer services are free whilst roaming in Europe, but charged whilst in the rest of the world.

Many thanks,

Lee

Re: Ending Contract from Abroad

Thanks @XRaySpeX! 😄

I will try to call, but in case it doesn't work, what do I have to include in the letter? That I simply wish to end my contract?

Once again, thank you! That was really helpful.

Re: Ending Contract from Abroad

Thanks! You're welcome :)! Glad I could be of assistance.

I would suggest something along the lines:

                                                    Account No. aaaaaaaaaaaa
                                                    Mobile No. 07999999999

I hereby cancel this contract with you. I expect my contract to terminate 30 days after your receipt of this letter. Please send my final bill to the above address.

(Something about how you are paying the final bill)
