I received my first EE Sim today and I just activated it.
However, in myEE I see two different phone numbers and devices. One is the correct one with the number I’ve been given, the other one is to me unknown with a number I didn’t add.
The correct one shows data, min and text, the unknown one shows only data.
Might it be because I asked to keep my old number and the unknown one is a temporary?
Chat support couldn’t help me.

Simply yes. One is likely your temporary number. If it's still showing in a week then call CS but I suspect it will disappear when your main number is ported/transferred.

So this morning I received a message saying my number is due to transfer today and it seems it has been updated on the myEE as well. My iPhone recognises the number but not iMessage.
However, on the account I still have the 073 number associated with an unknown device

No that I’m aware of. I ordered a Pay monthly sim only and requested to keep my old number. When activated I saw the phone number that came with the sim (also written on the package) but in myEE it shown another unknown device with a phone number starting with 073

Thanks for coming back to us.
If you go into Settings > Messages > iMessage > Send & Receive
Is your existing number showing?
In regards to the other number showing within your My EE account, I would suggest giving us a call on 150 so we can get this looked into for you.

I just received a text saying my number has been transferred and everything is set up correctly on my phone. Thought, I still see that number associated with an unknown device.
An operator from the chat told me it might disappear in a week time.
I’ll give a call otherwise.

So apparently, I have signed to 2 contracts when I ordered my Sim only. I have no idea how I did that.
Anyway one of the operators told me he would cancel the other number with no charges as I haven't been billed yet.
I received a text saying it will take from 2 up to 24 hours. At the moment I can still see the unknown number.
Hope for the best. I'll keep you posted.
