So 6 months ago I got a sim only deal, due to a failed credit check, I was told that as long as I was regular with payments I would be able to upgrade to a handset after 6 months, now to be told that I cannot upgrade at all due to my credit...I have never been late or missed a payment, feel like I’ve been lied to, so I could have been going through another network rather than waiting on this one, just to be told I can never get an upgrade!

If you have poor credit geneeallg, then you will need to improve this overall rather than just paying your mobile bill. Much also depends on what upgrade you want.
Ultimately EE have their own credit rules and nobody is guaranteed to pass.

Yes it shows when I log in that I can upgrade but when I’ve tried online it’s not gone through so I called in and was told I can’t upgrade
