Can’t upgrade sim only

So 6 months ago I got a sim only deal, due to a failed credit check, I was told that as long as I was regular with payments I would be able to upgrade to a handset after 6 months, now to be told that I cannot upgrade at all due to my credit...I have never been late or missed a payment, feel like I’ve been lied to, so I could have been going through another network rather than waiting on this one, just to be told I can never get an upgrade!

Keep up your regular payments and you might be allowed to upgrade in a further 3 or 6 months. Rules change all the time.

If you have poor credit geneeallg, then you will need to improve this overall rather than just paying your mobile bill. Much also depends on what upgrade you want.

 

Ultimately EE have their own credit rules and nobody is guaranteed to pass.

How did you request an upgrade, was this over the phone, instore or online?

 

Does your My EE account show you're eligible for an upgrade?

Yes it shows when I log in that I can upgrade but when I’ve tried online it’s not gone through so I called in and was told I can’t upgrade
