no new sim,had this topupcard 2 days ago ,tried to sort it out at local ee shop but they were very busy and just shoved a new card in my hands and said follow instructions inside

Thanks for coming back to me.
You would need to link the card to your account as below;
Text 150 with ETU then a space and then the 13-digit E top-up card number (the space in between is important so be sure to include it) example: ETU 1234567891234
Or, you can call 150 from your EE phone and follow the instruction.

thats the first thing i did, it has regestered on the phone , been to about 3 different shops and they all say its coming up as invalid
