Why does it say my EE number cannot be recognised when i try to activate it?

I can't call 150 to top up my new pay as you go sim as it says no service although the new sim has been inserted properly. I then thought maybe because the sim has not been activated but as I came on the EE website to activate my sim it does not recognise my new number?

I can't all 150 to solve this due to no service or text so can someone please help me I really need my phone.

@molima: PAYG SIMs don't need activating.

Have you just transferred from Orange to EE?
