Top up from abroad

Hi there, I left the UK for South Africa back in July this year and will be back in May next year. I've had a pay monthly account with EE for the last 3 years, which I changed to a pay as you go account in July, specifically requesting to keep my mobile number. MyEE profile tells me "Your account has been closed". Any idea how I can top up from abroad? Thanks
