My new PAYG phone phone says ‘Invalid SIM’

Hi,

I was given a PAYG phone as part of my pay monthly plan. I’ve just tried to set it up, but when I insert the EE sim (that I was given with the phone...), it says ‘Invalid SIM’. It’s a Mobiwire Pictor 2.4” - please help, it’s urgent!

"Given" by whom? How long ago?

Pay monthly plans are not PAYG. So I'm confused by just what you have.

Are you sure the phone itself is from EE? It sounds as if it's locked to another network if it's refusing an EE SIM.
