I have an ancient Nokia phone and the sim will not fit in my new iPhone.

How do I get a new universal sim for my existing account?

Hello @njmorrell,

Welcome to the community,

You can either go into an EE store and get a replacement SIM card for free, or order one here, but it will cost around £10.-:

Well, I tried that and it told me I couldn’t do it on-line because I am an Orange customer. As I sign into the EE web site to manage my account I thought I was an EE customer.

All very confusing, I guess I will have to go into a shop to sort it out.

Thanks for your help anyway, rgds Nick.

Hi @njmorrell and welcome to the Community.

Have you tried giving our Customer Service Team a call in regards to this?

Many thanks,

Unfortunately it is difficult to call customer service because I am currently in the USA and wanted to get the new sim delivered before I arrive in London at the end of Feb. I guess I will have to wait until I arrive and go to a shop.

Re: I have an ancient Nokia phone and the sim will not fit in my new iPhone.

Good Morning @njmorrell

As you're an Orange customer you'll need to speak to Customer Services once back in the UK to order a replacement SIM.

Stock of Orange SIM cards will be limited in stores.

You could contact your local EE Store to check if they have any stock.

Hope this helps!

Re: I have an ancient Nokia phone and the sim will not fit in my new iPhone.

Hi Karen and thanks for the e-mail.

Although I know that originally (years ago) I was an Orange customer I thought I had become an EE customer as I use the EE website to manage my account (top-up &c.).

Is there a way to switch to becoming an EE customer? It seems it would make life easier.

Thks/rgds Nick.

@njmorrell

Yes.

Just give EE a call or pop into store to discuss this.

Hi @njmorrell

No problem at all!

Of course - as @BrendonH posted just give Customer Services a quick call or if you're going to be near a an EE store they can arrange it for you also.

You could also order a SIM online if that's any easier.

Enjoy your evening!

Re: I have an ancient Nokia phone and the sim will not fit in my new iPhone.

Hi Karen thanks for that, I found how to switch from Orange to EE on the EE website. Unfortunately it wants to send me a code to the phone which of course cannot be received here in the US. There is no option to get the code via e-mail.

I think I am going to have to wait until I arrive in the UK and go to the shop. There is an 0800 number to call but I don’t want to mess with that in case there is a long queue of callers.

Thanks for helping, rgds Nick.

Re: I have an ancient Nokia phone and the sim will not fit in my new iPhone.

My pleasure @njmorrell

It's all done via text unfortunatley.

It's probably going to be best to sort it all once your back in the UK.

If you need anything else let us know!

Have a lovely day!

Thanks - Karen. Smiley Happy
