Can't report phone as Lost/Stolen

Help! I lost my phone an hour ago now I can't get through on the customer service number after I enter my mobile number and hashtag it says the office is now closed! Is there any other way to cancel my phone?

Hi.. I tried this number, I entered my phone number followed by hashtag to
hear a voice message saying office hours are closed.. thanks anyway.

It’s worked for me option 1, 1 again then 2 (I don’t know the number of the device option).

 

are you payg ? 

 

Letting me through on my EE contract number entry. If the above fails 

&

If you are payg - enter a EE contract number if you know anyone on EE contract. 

 

The system should not divert payg away to office closed for lost/stolen cancellation number but it seems from your description that’s exactly what’s happening. Unsurprisingly...this is Orange/TMobile/EE/BT 4 companies that are lost in themselves!

Many customers do, the automated system when you call EE is T-Mobiles, it got them a ton of complaints too! 

 

Still - o2 payg 4444/4445 if you want to change price plan puts you through to another automated system to speak to a operator but as the calls transferred to the new automated system you can’t select a option LOL 

 

They are all as bad as each other, take the money and for communications companies they can’t communicate!

This sounds very strange, I will certainly look into this as the lost and stolen team are 24hours,.
