Account took charged me too much and didn't automatically top up

My top up didn't automatically renew I had 15 pounds in my account and it took out 1 pound leaving me with 14 pounds so I topped up another 15 pounds and it said my balance was 29 pounds and now it says I have  13.81 left in my account why did it charge me so much?

I am with EE and it is the 15 quid pack with 7 GB of data, 500 mins of calling and unlimited texting
