Welcome to the EE Community.
We don’t expect your watch to be delayed too long. You will receive a text from DPD when it’s on its way, and you’ll still receive this as soon as they’re released.
my order is due this friday , I have not received any text message's to say it has been delayed yet and MYEE app says its still on track.
I believe most peoples issue with EE is always the last mnute communication from yourselves.
I appreciate its not always possible for you to give percise timescales but why create a thread to advertise something then neglect to provide timely information.

Any updates on whats happening with the delay?
Well it's a bit puzzling at the moment. I had a live chat today with ee and the rep Avishek insisted I would receive 14 days from my pre order which is Friday? I saved the transcript . I don't think EE know what's going on themselves!

it really is, i think they are just saying that to spare a bit of backlash, untill you phone back on the day.

i wouldnt believe that, read earlier up everyone got told within 14 days, people are still waiting and no update by anyone else, plus all stores are still saying pre-order.

well i got told 14 days. today was the last day like a lot of other people? like you have all been told wait till the last day to be told a futher date, samsung arent giving ee a date?

Agreed, not sure EE have any exact idea of when they're available and are just using the 14 days reply to save face and collect more sales. Not the end of the world with the delay, it just seems a bit of a farce

Good Morning @Rob33
We don't expect your watch to be delayed too long.
Your account will not be charged until you receive your product.
15-11-2018 12:43 PM
Strictly speaking I've been charged an upfront fee already, which I shouldn't have until you actually send it, if I'd have pre ordered the smaller watch then I wouldn't have been charged.
15-11-2018 03:20 PM
You always get charged the upfront fee. It states an upfront fee for a reason.
You won't be charged your monthly fee until it's dispatched.
15-11-2018 03:52 PM
You say that but the upfront fee is to help cover the cost of the device, if I ordered the smaller one there is no upfront fee. It's not a reservation fee, and I shouldn't start paying until my device is in stock.
15-11-2018 04:18 PM
When I say it was a reservation fee?
But upfront costs need to be paid upfront.
It doesn't matter if other devices don't have any upfront fees. You chose one that did.
You are not paying your monthly fees yet so you are not being charged.

BrendonH, you're right with what you say about the upfront fee.
However, the reason people are so annoyed is due to the lack of clarity or updates around delivery. If you look back through this and other threads, customers are being told varying timescales and the order tracking still says 'On track' despite there being a delay... Not exactly great customer care.
