is this a scam?

Today I answered a call from an unkown caller and heard an automated message saying it was Ofcom and that they would be cutting my broadband in the next 24 hours because they had detected hacking on it

I am assuming this is a scam of some sort - doe anyone know?

Has anyone else had the same experience?

Re: is this a scam?

Yes as ofcom would never contact you or disconnect your broadband for any reason.

Re: is this a scam?

Yes, OFCOM wouldn't even know who you were. They are a regulator of suppliers not customers.
