Spam text?

Received the following message earlier this month.

'EE: We have been unable to process your latest bill. In order to avoid fees Please login at https://ee.co.uk-ref961.com?ee=2 to update your billing information'

From +447780834847.

I am hoping it is a scam as I did not respond. Please advise.

Re: Spam text?

It's a scam! There are many of these going the rounds. EE would never send you a msg asking you to click on a link in order to update your a/c.

Report it to EE by forwarding it to 7726 (S.P.A.M. on your keypad).

That domain, faked to look like EE, was only created 4 days ago in Malaysia. Browsers are already warning it's deceptive.
