What's the cheapest tariff for minimal use of mobile?

Been getting tired trying to find a cheaper option - I no longer will need to text very much or call either and cannot find anything that is similar to my husband's price of £8.50 per month. Would it be just best to change (fortunately no further contract for about a year or so)

Free Pay as you go SIM

Once you've got it you can either:

  • top-up & use it for calls & texts as & when you want as normal PAYG at standard per-unit rates, or
  • top-up to buy weekly, £1, or monthly, from £5, packs of calls, text & data allowances.

What are pay as you go packs?
