Proof of purchase for my Nintendo Switch?

  • I upgraded my phone in November 2018 while EE was running a promotion offering a free Nintendo Switch. I'm now having an issue with the Switch but to send it to Nintendo for repairs they require proof of purchase. However, I can't seem to find mention of the switch or the promotion anywhere on my EE account. I have my original upgrade contract that was given to me in store and the Nintendo Switch isn't acknowledged on there either. I'm not sure where else to look.

If you get in touch with our Mobile Care team on 150, they will see what they can send you to use as a proof of purchase for your Nintendo Switch.

Did this get resolved? We have the same issue, my husband has searched his emails for something that mentions the switch? Nintendo need a document that has the serial number on

Hi Leanne

We called EE which gave us a letter stating the date we got the console but
nothing else and nintendo have said it doesnt count as proof of purchase
and are saying we will have to pay for repair. We need an invoice or
something that states the nintendo was a gift with the phone upgrade and a
serial number and they said they couldn't help us with that

No there wasnt anything mentioned on an email we have searched back. It was
all done over the phone

Hi I'm currently having the same issue did this get resolved thank you 

Hi yes it did if you speak to them and explain the issue they will help. A very helpful member of the team did us a letter in the end that had the serial number on it after I told them what the number was and nintendo accepted this as proof or purchase after rejecting the first letter because it didn't have the serial number on it.
