Hopefully this helps anyone else who may have encountered an issue claiming their galaxy buds +.
The screenshots I took for proof of purchase didn't register with the automated system Samsung were using. So things like "carrier logo, name, phone upgrade" etc couldn't be picked up. I had to change from "dark mode" in Gmail and temporarily used the option to "view in light theme."
After I'd taken my screenshots and resent them to Samsung (contacted customer services) my claim was successfully accepted.

I didn't even think to try that #sandman that was very clever, I've gone for a different approach and just sent off an email to EE customer services just explaining my predicament and asking them to resend the relevant digital copy of proof of purchase. Fingers crossed this will put to an end what has so far been an unnecessarily complicated process
