Why charges for picture msgs when txt was words only

I sent a multi message and these have incurred charges. I found message and there was no picture or emoji used. I have unlimited texts normally.

Re: Why charges for picture msgs when txt was words only

Hi

I have been charged 5

£5.00 for 12 messages at £0.42 each (doesn’t add up).

That link was very useful. I sent a multi message and that caused the switch to photo message, even though only text was used. I also exceeded 160 characters, another potential issue.

Why not? 12 x 42p = £5.04.

You were actually charged 12 x 50p per MMS = £6 but the itemised billing you are looking at is shown exclusive of VAT. VAT is added on the total at the end.
