Hi everyone
Before the 1st January I had a SIM ONLY Max Plan 12GB data for £19.99 a month
On the 1st I upgraded to a 20GB Max plan iphone xs max 256GB £88 a month
I added a student discount to that to make it £70.40 a month
I have just had my bill now and it says that I am due to pay £109.97
I have attached some photos of my bill to see if any of you can fathom it out.
Many thanks
Gareth

It because you started the new plan mid-way through you existing billing cycle and so EE have charged you a part-month + a whole month.
Whilst they have refunded you previous plan part-month charge, because you are now on a much high priced plan, that is why your bill is more than the equivlent of just 1 month.

@GarethWilliams On the last screen shot it has dates. From the 2/1/19 to the 26/2/19 is in arrears for your new contract, you do not pay in arrears you pay pro rata so you owned EE for that period that you had your new device and the next part is now for the month ahead and that’s what the £73.33 is.
Your bill is correct.

That bill is exactly correct. You are paying for the period 02/01/19 to 26/02/19 a total of 1 month 25 days.
£70.40 x (1 +25/31) = £127.17 for your new plan.
However you are due a refund for your old plan from 02/01/19 to 26/01/19 (25 days) of £14.34 x 1.2 = £17.20.
Totalling £109.97.
