How long do you have to pay after a bill arrives?

Currently with BT but thinking about switching broadband and landline to EE, however at the moment I can't pay by direct debit as I'm being paid fortnightly  and don't have a set pay-day.

With BT I get 10 days to pay my bill by card, phone etc. How long after receiving an EE bill does one have to pay?

With EE BB your payment is taken on or after 14 days after your bill is posted but you cannot pay ad-hoc'ly. You must register a DD or bank card in advance for the payments to be taken from. No phone calls, cheques or eBanking!

Right, so if I were to register a debit card (no DD) could I ask them to always take the payment 14 days after the bill is posted instead of on the same day?
Is there any wiggle room at all as to when I can have a payment come out of my bank?

They do take payment 14 days after the bill is posted. It says so in their bills.
