Direct debit

I’ve received a letter from EE about direct debit set up with my account number Andy sort code but I’m not an EE customer. Is this a scam? I’m being told to call 150 from my vodaphone  phone or a mobile number to contact them.

@Beckyj1713 : I should phone EE on +44 800 956 6000 (option 2, option 4) (not on any you've been given) & query it. Some EE user could easily have given a wrong, yours, bank a/c no. by mistake.
