new app log in

With the old app I did not have to enter my password every time I opened the app.

The new app makes me enter the password each and every time.   WHY..??

I have already unlocked the phone, so this step seems pointless..??

Any way I can get around this..??

Hi @KWENDA

 

For data protection there will always need to be some security on the app.

 

As @Chris_B advised you can set up a PIN so you don't need to input your password each time.

Hello @KWENDA sorry to hear you are having problems logging in to the MYEE app. Make sure you have the correct log in type selected by tapping the menu bar on the main screen then navigating to settings>logging in. If the correct type is set but still requesting your password try deleting the app, restarting your phone first then installing the app again fresh. 🙂

OK, but now I have to enter a pin number..

So my ONLY choices are either entering a password or entering a pin number..??

With the previous app I did not have to enter either a password or a pin and so it was easier.

As stated previously I have to unlock the phone, so why yet another pin or password.??

Hello @KWENDA EE have tightened security on the new app a lot such as removing the ability to screenshot and making a security log in mandatory (PIN, password, fingerprint) to protect users and their account information even if someone else has managed to gain access to the phone/device. 🙂

@KWENDA   If you go in to the settings of the app you can turn this off.

As far as I can see you need EITHER to enter a password, OR  a pin number.

 

Previously just opening the old app and you had immediate access to the required information.

@KWENDA turn off use pin and if you have it Touch ID.

So there is  NO  solution..??

 

It MUST BE  EITHER e-mail and password  OR  use a PIN..??

 

We now have extra security with this new app..?

 

Seems a bit unecessary once I have already unlocked the phone...
