I am using a dongle and despite looking at other answers on the forum etc. i am unable to find the settings to change the content lock. Maybe I am missing something!

Welcome to the community 🙂
You should be able to remove your content lock in your My EE Account online.
If you're having trouble, I'd recommend contacting our Customer Care team who will be able to help you.

Can you give a bit of detail as to how we get to that page instead of just saying "my online account"? That really doesnt say much and the menu is a chore to navigate.

Menu > Settings > Restrictions > Content Restrictions.
