Different data usage and renewal date on App vs Nighthawk?

My app shows 50Gb remaining and new period started today.  Last period I used 43Gb of data.

 

My Nighthawk display says “33.76 Gb of 0 Gb used” and 8 days remaining.

 

Is this usual (or is there some ‘reset’ I can do to align them)?

 

Which is the truth (I’m expecting the app as that aligns to my billing dates)?

Welcome to the community.

 

The My EE app will show you the data you have used during the month and reset on your bill date.

 

If the device is not aligned, can you reset this in the settings?

Didn’t know that was there; just assumed the Nightgear would pick it up from same source as the App.  

 

All done now using the Netgear App.
