Intermittent fault

Afternoon guys,

I seem to be having an Intermittent fault on my Samsung S10, on occasions when people try to call it goes directly to the voicemail it does not even ring.As I say this does not happen all the time ,could there be something wrong with my Sim or the phone its self I have only had it a couple of months..

Thanks in advance..

Re: Intermittent fault

Hi @SteveRob1

Have you checked your local network for issues?

https://myaccount.ee.co.uk/networkchecker/checkservice

Are you using WiFi calling when this happens?

Thanks

Re: Intermittent fault

Hi @SteveRob1

Have you WiFi calling activated?

It's likely that your signal is weak so it cannot connect the call. VOLTE is voice over data.

Try setting - connections - mobile network and deactivating VOLTE if possible.

Thanks

Re: Intermittent fault

Hi @SteveRob1

Great advice from @Northerner already - VoLTE is 4G-voice explained here - as you've probably discovered, this shouldn't really be disabled except to help diagnose a fault. It improves your service.

Apart from WiFi calling which you're already trying - when a call goes straight to voicemail, is your phone showing signal (or WiFi calling)?

Is it always calls from the same people that go to voicemail? You may have inadvertently blocked them if so. Or if it's all calls, you may have inadvertently set a "Do Not Disturb"

Re: Intermittent fault

@SteveRob1 Well done, that proves it's something with your phone then.

Check your Do Not Disturb settings, and that you've not inadvertently blocked certain callers. Perhaps even block them and unblock, to prove it.

@Northerner suggestion of WiFi calling is a great one to remember too.

Re: Intermittent fault

hello mate.

I wouldnt have inadvertently blocked anyone , as some times they get through and others it goes direct to voicemail or says service unavailable..

Cheers

Re: Intermittent fault

Good Afternoon @SteveRob1

The number should update automatically.

I would recommend allowing 48 hours.
