xbox one not connecting to wireless

My sons xbox one has been working fine wirelessly for months. A few days stopped connecting to wifi. I've tried re connecting wirelessly and wired with no success. I've followed the online help,which has instructed to switch off router/ Xbox several times.

Tried static ip,deleted settings.. no success.

I can get xbox to connect by using phone mobile data,so it seems to indicate EE router issue?

I've solved my issue!!!

I tried everything on the XBox help for XBox not connecting to Wifi or wired connection with no success.

Contacted Microsoft who didn't help, advised  to try all the things I've tried before.

 

Contacted EE, which found it very strange that only one of my devices wasn't working correctly. They could see we had 15 devices connected  to router with no issues. Offered to send a router but firstly try device on another router.

I connected device up in another house and it worked fine,connected straight away.

Let the Xbox complete latest update and tried again in my house.

Again same issue.  What I noticed is my router was always selecting same IP address and as I'd named it before recognising the mac address,although I had deleted from my devices on router.

Anyway I decided to change the wireless mac address on the XBox.

And.....it connected!!!!

Router selected another IP....

On the router now it still has the old IP,showing still connected??

Explained this to EE and they are sending a new router.

 

I hope this helps someone else as it took my days to sort out🤪🤪🤪🤪🤪
