EE is my broadband provider. I have used a Talktalk email address for years but have just switched to EE 2 months ago, I am still using Talktalk email address and I have not had a problem since switching to EE. Suddenly now I can receive emails emails still but cannot send, I keep receiving a message saying the email address is not recognised, sometimes that’s my wife’s email and she is in the same room. Also another message sometimes comes saying ‘the username or password for smtp.talktalk.net is in correct.
In my iPad settings I am loathe to delete the account because I cannot remember the original passwords when I set up with Talktalk. Any help please? Thanks.

@DF11 What are your Outgoing SMTP Server settings in your Mail app?

username blank just says optional
password blank just says optional
Use SSL is showing green
authentication showing blank
Server Port 587

Unless that's a typo it should be smtp.talktalk.net .
What are the alternatives for "Authentication"?
