Why can I not switch to HTML editor?

I am stuck on rich text editor I do not want rich text editor I want HTML. I have HTML editor checked and saved in my settings so why is it forcing me to use rich text?

I did not try it - only because a workaround was not acceptable I wanted my account fixed and working properly.

However, it now seems to be working fine. I have just switched between rich text and HTML a couple of times and it is now recognising which one I have selected.

Both of my profile issues are now resolved!

Try taking it out of settings and select it manually each time.
